We just got back from our spring break trip to Port Aransas, Texas. My family and I had a great time. The weather was nice mid 70's with 10mph wind partly cloudy most of the time. The beach was excellent as usual clear water warming to mid to high 60's. Tried out some surf fishing but no catches. My son and I did get to fish along the channel off 361 (Cemetary road) Click here for location just south of Morris Cummings Cut. We arrived just before noon and the fish bite was off. However we did observe many boats along the channel that had nice stringers of reds. We tried live shrimp on a popping cork, also tried bottom rigs and even broke out the johnson gold spoon, still no bites. Oh well that's why it's called fishing and not catching. Here are a few pics from the trip, enjoy.
